That is so cute that Thyri is learning to dial the phone. She'll have your number memorized in no time!! Juat a few weeks ago when Kara and family were here we had a conversation about the old numbers and prefixes. I think it is easier to memorie if you are physically dialing rather than punching the numbers on your phone....and now cell phones remember and keep a record of numbers for you. We were just talking about what kids don't know these days. I just got a letter from Branton who is in Wyoming now and I thought he has mailed it with no stamp, but on closer inspection, the stamp was in the other corner and his return address was right by it. DH also noticed it was printed and said, "Kids today don't know cursive?" Indeed, it was printed. I pulled out my last letter from Erin and it too was printed. LOL! I taught cursive, but, indeed, it is only taught at 3rd grade, and it's not one of the grades on their report cards. I started writing Carter and Branton and Emily (I was already writing to Erin as her "life coach" and it was fun that Branton wrote back. He said in it, "I got your letter and this is so much fun!" So cute!
Erin is home this weekend and Kara Randy and Erin are coming for lunch today. I'm so excited! She has to head back home tomorrow, so they are coming today. Josh has to work, so he'll be over tomorrow to do the yard. DH is leaving for his Marine reunion that they do every year. He's going today so he won't be home until Tuesday. I haven't used the Sous Ve in ages, and I"m not sure I've got it heating or not. I can't find the instruction booklet. Well, there is always the BBQ. I cleaned it off this morning since I was going to finish them on the BBQ. I may just have to cook them on there if the Sous Ve hasn't heated by 9. It needs at least 3 hours at temp in the Sous Ve so if it hasn't heated by 9, I may just have to BBQ the whole time. I need to do the floors before they come. LOL! Missy has bits of stuffing all over and grass they've brought in on their fur in the last couple days. Kids!
Remember when the crows used to come down and peck Walter on the rump? LOL! I thought about that when you mentioned Krypto and birds!
