We didn't have a very busy week. We managed to keep busy, but we didn't have loads of appointments here and there. We did have a very cold week with temps in the low 20's and even into the teens and low 20's for highs. The snow from last Saturday went rather quickly as we had temps in the 50's for the first part of the week. It is supposed to be near normal this next week, and we are looking forward to that. We like to walk Evie, but It has been too cold for that.
We were supposed to attend the Owensboro parade yesterday, but the band director pulled the band because of illness. They are a small group, so having 5-10 people out really makes a difference. We were disappointed but understood the reasoning. Dh and I were going to ride in the truck with dsil and older dd, so we would not have suffered from the cold. As a result of no trade older dd, our dsil, and younger dgd came here. They are trying to buy a car for younger dd as she now has her limited permit. She needs to get some drive time in. After they talked with a dealer, we all went to a late lunch and did some shopping at the mall.
Dd wanted some Krispy Kreme doughnuts, so we got some. I only wanted one cream-filled, and I am sorry I ate it. Something in it did not agree with me, and I had a terrible time with my digestive tract for about an hour. Once I emptied everything, I was better, but I will not do that ever again. I haven't been eating heavy stuff since my leg break, so I guess my stomach just rebelled.
