...had more opportunities to skate than I did!
We skated up at Lake Gregory, below Arrowhead, but when at home, went to a skating rink.
I understand that they fill an area in Downtown L.A. now, and freeze it for skating, at this time of year. That's new.
I would have loved to have had an area like you describe to skate on!
