It's definitely soup and extra blanket weather here. Do you have a favorite type of blanket, and is that type more for warmth, or softness?
It gets way too cold in my house currently, so I got Dh and I a couple of blankets. One is an all-cotton, thermal blanket. The other is wool.
I figure that, even if the wool blanket is scratchy, as the ones that one of my grandmother's had when I was growing up, it will be warm, and can be sandwiched between softer blankets. I also got him a smaller, soft blanket for his chair, and one for ddil, who gets cold easily.
My favorite ones are comfortable, cotton blankets. And, of course, while not really a blanket, quilts.
