That's a good idea...the blankets and socks!

The one's that I got for us, Dh, and Ddil, are at the post office. Ds has to go out of town to pick up his CCW license today, so he said that he can stop at the post office and pick them up for me, then stash them until close to Christmas, when I'll wrap the gift ones.

It must be a cold year for us to both to think of warm gifts!
