I have been enjoying being startled by the change in light when the day moves from morning to afternoon. There is an instantaneous (sp) shift from the clear light of morning to WHAM! a golden tone of afternoon where there wasn't any seconds before. Glorious... absolutely glorious!

It's so foggy/cloudy here most of the time. Can't see any of the sky events. Rats!

Does it seem to you that the past few years there have been a large number of unique events in the sky.

I was asked by UT to count the stars I could see in Orion when at BOR. When I compare the size of Orion to now and back then.... the difference in size is amazing. Here Orion is so much smaller and in the South & West slightly overhead.

But at BOR Orion was Huge and visible in the East and South. Amazing. I received a plaque for counting its stars - Living on a hill on a country road away from towns was a wonderful advantage. I counted all of them. Glorious!
