We are in the 20s & 30's later in the week. Which means the well is off. But so far lots of birds.

I bought a Texas IDentification book. That has plants, trees, birds, insects, animals, etc. But I also bought those glossy folding Guides for birds, critters, etc. They are usually pretty acurate on ID'ing my yard critters. I found them by the checkouts.

I love spotting a new creature and trying ID it. Not always easy to do. Sometimes it's an animal from another state that was blown here by a storm.
