We finally got our Christmas put up. I decided to scale what back this year. The only thing we did outside was to put our Nativity out, and I decorated the mailbox and put out my seasonal garden flags. I even cut back a bit on my inside decor, but it still took a while deciding what to do and what not to do.
So...the Christmas was all decorated and in place, and we thought it would be safe. NOTHINGi is safe from Sparky. The first time he knocked it over, I took all oft he ornaments off and put them away. The second time, I put a small fence around it. I keep it covered with a plastic bag and night and when we are not home. So far. he has left it alone. The tree is only four-feet, so it is pretty easy to cover.
My 2017 Escape has been having an issue of shuddering some, so we took it to the Ford dealer twice (first time in June). The second time was in November. The first time, they said nothing was wrong but charged $99.00 for diagnostics. The second time, they told us there was a problem and would cost 4500 -5000 to fix it. They angered a bit because they wanted to charge me $99.00 the second time for diagnostics. I refused and was.a bit upset, so they let it go. last week, we decided to take it to a local garage where they fixed it for $1700. Needless to say, we won't be going back to Ford.
Now, our second vehicle, my dh's clunker as I call it, needs about $3000 worth of work. We are still thinking about that.
So...I am more than ready for Christmas and having a good time with our girls and their families.
Oh yes, we are supposed to be really cold (teens and lower) for Christmas with a chance of some snow. I won't mind the snow if it is just on the yards and off the streets. We have had as much as 22 inches at Christmas. I hope we are spared that this year.
