It was just plain cold this week, but no rain. There's a chance of rain at least 3 or 4 days next week, but I'm not sure about Christmas Eve/Christmas, as yet. It got to 28 this morning, as was still 32 at 11. Brrrr.
I'm still missing Mamou, but I will update on the others, as there have been changes in their behavior,
Once again, it's been too cold indoors, and out, of course, to accomplish as much as we wanted to.
I have a single Meyer's lemon growing on my small, potted tree. It's looking good, and is 90% colored up. I miss my Eureka lemon because it had the best lemons that I'd had, but I am looking forward to seeing how this one tastes!
I think that I mentioned that I found a thick chocolate mint sauce called: Santa Cruz organic mint-chocolate syrup. I can eat it! A spoonful after a meal tastes like having a Peppermint Patty. I got it at the warehouse for a good deal. However, I don't know what a bottle actually goes for, so I went online and looked.
This product was bought by, and is therefore owned by, Smuckers. But, I couldn't find it, except for a wildly overpriced single bottle, even on Amazon. I found things called chocolate-mint syrup, and even a Smucker's syrup. But, none are edible for me. They contain milk, soy, or some other allergen. Darn. Just when I could eat something from the store. Drats.
There were elk alongside the highway this week. Generally they are out in fields. Beautiful animals.
Thyri is learning to sing Christmas songs. Mostly she sings the refrains, but has a good time doing it. She was singing Jingle Bells last week. This week she's moved to Jingle Bell Rock, only she thinks that it's Jingle Bell Rocket, lol!
Well, that's all from this neck of the woods. I got a late start with not being able to get on line all this time, so have a lot to catch up on. How was your week?
