It may get down to the teens. I let the taps drip unless all day is bitter cold. It will be going up to 50's later.

Well the Mama Cat who had the 4 kittens died. I have been trying so hard to keep them all out of my yard. But this morning there was one kitten in one of my trees. Another kitten was in the yard having gotten in through my neighbors fence.

Charlie and I were out feeding the birds & Squirrels. I heard a kitten crying in one of the Juniper trees and got it out and let down in to my neighbors yard.

Unfortunately Charlie saw the other kitten and went after it. But Moma cat attacked Charlie. Unfortunately she died. I will bury her in the pet cemetary out back. The kitten is ok.

Now I will have to patrol my yard to make sure none of the kittens are out where Charlie can get them when it is his turn to be outside. Dang people who won't protect their animals.

Animal Control says they will not do anything to protect cats. Even if a cat gets in my yard and my dog kills it.

Charlie has lived with Mussy, Kitty and Soli since he was 4 months old. Mussy died 2 years ago. Kitty and Soli and Charlie all get along. Well Charlie more or less ignores the cats and the cats ignore him.

I hate situtions like this. Once the cold spell passes I will bury Mama cat with Mussy and Boys dogs in the pet cemetary.

Prayers please for the Mama cat and her mother-less kittens. She was a good mother but her owners wouldn't take care of her. They let her roam all over. No one took care of her or her kittens. Sad, sad, sad situation.
