Ds has tried to talk me into using it for years, but really, I'd rather not.
His came with their house, they didn't choose it.
Yes, so far it's not a good financial year, per se. But, for my part, I realize that it's part of months and months of 'getting in the rears' because of the gas prices, and using the generator for 2 years 24/7. We had never done that before. These batteries are at least part of the answer...now if I can get ahead enough to get a couple more...!
But, like you, other pressing things first. Mostly taxes here, and the 'once in a while' things, like paying the post office box. They are $84. for 6 months, and I just got a notice that they are going up again after the 22nd of this month. Really?? Sheesh!
I hope that you can work out your extra expenses, and get the discounts that you need and which should be coming to you.
Then, we can all focus on the important things, like people and pet food, electricity, etc.!
I did get my back-up menu made, btw. It wasn't easy without having the meat, and needing to buy enough chicken for the next 7 weeks or so. I can reassess then.
One thing that I tried to do was to repeat some things every week, and not to do too many vegetable forward meals, even though those are some of my favorites. I also tried to see what I would have made from meat that I could make with chicken.
I made a list to see what I need to buy to make these meals (then divide and freeze them, in order to have them for 7 weeks of meals.) and it may not quite be do-able, but I'm forging ahead, one meal at a time. Hopefully, it will be fine. How's that for positive thinking? Or, delusional...take your pick! :-)
Well, enough of my menus and list. Even my lists have lists! :-)
