When I was returning from the mailboxes the fog had deepened. Thank goodness I was wearing my Safety Sweatjacket. It's that bright eye-searing yellow. LOL!
So the areas next to the road is mostly trees and is equal to 4 large yards to my driveway. It's tarmac and has ditches on both sides for rain run off. Plus it slopes toward the ditches, which makes stepping out of the way of big trucks tricky. Luckily only my neighbor and 1 other car came down the hill.
But the fog was much thicker then when I left the house. I had wanted a photo of the Waxing moon but almost missed getting the shot, for I had to go inside to grab my cell.
The moon was hanging over the tops of the Cedar trees in my yard above the retaining wall. The ground sloped upwards - I live on a hill LOL!. But I got the shot. The tips of Cedar trees with the Waxing moon seeming to disapper in to the fog. It was very atmospheric. 8-)
Well, Everyone but me has been fed. I am snacking on Pineapple chunks debating on what I want for breakfast. Pineapple seems to becoming a regular meal item.
I have some English Muffins and may toast. Then I'll add peanut butter and 2 skinny recooked slices of bacon. Te recooking bacon gets more fat out... but Bacon is not a bad thing for a diabetic.. in moderation of course. So maybe twice a week an English muffin as above then a BLT on Multi Grain bread. YUM!!!!
Have lots to do. Oops! The sun has risen and the fog is still along the road but my yard is slightly misty. The Pecan trees, Oak, Cedars, etc. are dark spooky looking creatures that tower over the road and yards. Beautiful!
The three squirrels are out and competing for the nut bowls, schasing each other up the trees and out on to the various limbs.
So far no Bluejays yet. But the Cardinals are flittering around in the mist. The males in their BRIGHT Cardinal red plumage, and the females their drab grey. Usually by this time the Swallows and Doves are in the driveway feasting on todays toss of bird seed. Maybe later the gang will all appear. The Hawk does has been around... when I try to chase him off he simply sits in the trees in the woods across the street. Then dive bombs some poor smaller bird. Oh well Mother Nature provides for all. I just hate to witness those events.
Have a good day.
