That would make me so frustrated!!

I haven't been to the store since the eggs increased in price...I usually don't even pay attention, just buy them, but I did hear on the news they were up there at $8 and $9 a dozen. I heard some places were selling them in less than a dozen and still charging that much! They say it's because of bird flu....which they used to warn of a shortage of turkeys at Thanksgiving. I never can figure out what the truth is anymore. I just know that it is really unfair to everyone as eggs were a source of protein low income people could afford and now they can't. Pitiful!

I'm so sorry you were sick! I'll be glad when there are just showers for you! We've had lots of days that it just rained at night while we were sleeping, so we've been fortunate in that respect!

I made brownies for dh last night. They are really good, but I have to be careful about eating them with my stomach issues. I got a new pyrex brownie cake pan that has a lid and I love it!! I'm going to make the Do Nothing cake for tomorrow. It's a plain white cake with pineapple added. After it is cooked you cook butter, pecans, coconut, evaporated milk and sugar to a boil, poke holes in the cake and pour the mix over the cake and let cool. I thought that sounded really good. I did a poke cake with lemon cake and raspberry jello poured over it and then topped it with cheesecake instant pudding. It was good, but I had dh take it to the club to share because Randy and Kara didn't come over last week and I didn't want to be tempted because it was hard on my stomach!! LOL!

I took both girls to the groomer this last week. Missy needed her nails and dew claws trimmed so I just waited for her and took her on home while Chelsea has her turn. She's gotten more used to it now and doesn't try to put on the brakes when we approach the door. Fonzi was the best with the groomer...he just treated it like a luxury spa day!

Chelsea cuddled with me all night last night, sometimes resting her head on my shoulder and I woke up with her paw resting on my face this morning! So sweet! Missy won't cuddle, but she curls up under a pillow at my feet.
