Charlie and I still go out and feed the wild critters. Charlie was finally able to bark at Deer. There are 3 in A's back yard area near his woods. They all look young but more teens then babies. No adults are with them.
I just check to see if I had any surviving plants outside. Nary a one. As they were all victims of the latest deep freeze. Ah well, maybe I can replace them this summer.
I had to order early from Chewy, luckily I had my list ready. I am literally out of 5 or 6 items. I wanted to make it to Feb 3rd but no such luck.
I still haven't heard from the Tax dept. Dang it. This is extemely frustrating.
The kids still haven't been up here. They were going to relocate the trailer to where it will sit permenately. Closer to our chain link fence which runs along A's woody area.
Plus I told Boy I wanted all the wood - meant to replace my porch roof, etc. - moved to behind their trailer. Oh, and now I was told they would move here this year. Yeah Right!!!!
Since my neighbor had her stint put in I haven't asked to do laundry using her washer. She can't go to work and I am busy on the phone all the time. I left a message for my Dr telling her I needed my Patches reordered. I do not want them thorugh my med Ins. It takes 3 weeks to have anything arrive. I stll haven't gotten the correct strips for my new BS tester. They have been reordered and I am being sent a prepaid label to mail the incorrect strips back to the INS Pharmacy. It's going to take at least 2 or more weeks for the new ones to arrive. Arrrgh!!!
Charlie went wild when he saw the deer. It's been weeks since they have been around. The deer just stood in a gang and watched him wear himself out. ROFLOL!
Well not sure what I am doing today except to call my dr to follow up on her ordering the patches for my neck. And do lots of paperwork prepping before payday on the 3rd. I already ordered all the critter food.. I hate 31 day months. Even my food runs low then. But I have enough until after ALL my bills are paid, including property taxes.
Thank goodness for the upped Soc Sec. It really will help keep me from having a major crisis.
But it is going to take me until March or April to get back on my feet. Not sure what to do about a washer. I was thinking a small one that would take everything but my bedspreads, etc. I need one that I can attach to the cold water tap in the kitchen. I'm not sure if there are any of those around now.
Thankfully I have ths 3 or 4 gal hand crank and can do all my clothes, even if one at a time. *-)
Labor is good for me.
Well I am not going to worry about ice freezing on the well pipes. Temps should NOT get below 31 degrees.
I am more worried about living on a hill and a car - lots of speeders here - could run in to my house with the missing fence not yet replaced. Oh well.
I think I will make some beef stew with carrots & potatoes and whatever. I can't ea russets anymore but do have new potatoes the red ones.
A big salad for lunch, I had pancakes for breakfast with fresh pineapple. And stew for dinner as we listen to the ice hitting the rooof, windows etc.
Wish you nice weather where ever you are.
