A showed up and he couldn't find anything wrong with his well. No leaky pipes, etc. We both thought maybe ice or the tin roof was part of the noise I was hearing.
But unfortuntely for A, He went out to dinner last night and while eating his catalytic converter was removed from his truck. OUCH$! He was able to borrow a family car to come down here for the weekend to check out the noise I heard. He hasn't been down as much and is enjoying being here. The power is still down in Austin unfortunately. They got slammed up there.
It will warm up nicely over the next few days but morning hrs may be cool. Plus more rain off and on. We can use it and are grateful for it. Though it is still not enough to fill the lake by any means.
I had to order wild bird seed and seed for Chance - But the wild bird seed and Charlie dry food only got here today. While the rest of my order of mini bones, dental chews, litter and so on arrive 4 days ago. The ice storm really messed up deliveries.
OMG I was giving Charlie his dinner of canned food and after putting the can in the fridge I came back to finish posting here. I was surprised that Charlie was doing his single bark pause, bark pause in the kitchen. I went to see what was what and it took me a minute to realize I had left his dinner bowl on the kitchen sink. If he could have given me a dirt look, he would have. LOL!
I had come back in here to finish this post when he came in and started barking at me doing the bark pause, etc. I walked out to see if there was a delivery out front - but no there wasn't. So I turned around to come back to what I was doing except he stopped in front of the pantry door and blocked me off from my bedroom where my desk is.
It took me only a moment to do a DUH!!!! and step into get his small mini bones and his Dental chew. Boy my brain is totally wacked today.
Ok good news there hasn't been a an orange cat or a wild critter climbing in my bedroom/bathroom wall the last few days. I also haven't see the seed eating rat or mouse - not sure which. I hate hearing something moving around in the walls.
Ok the bad news - I have been talking to the tax folks and it's bad news sorta. I never got a copy of my tax bill. I have been calling for weeks and most of them are not polite. The ones that are try to help me but I have now been charged a late fee. Dang it!!! Anyway Boy & I will be going to the tax office to pay a 1/4 of the bill. They are allowing me to pay it off. I will be paying way more on a month basis to get this bill done. They are also adding late fees to the total bill. The Homestead discount is no where near to being put to my account. I figure I can pay it mostly of before April as that is when Charlie has his yearly check up. He is still not jumping on my bed like he used to. But he is back to runnng full out when I open the door. Not sure what is going on with him.
Also the hospital failed to send my DR my information about my neck arthritis. I finally paid the last payment to the hospital today.
I am trying to work with my Dr but boy is the situation messed up with her. I have a follow up appointment in March on the 6th but follow up for what? I have no clue. I have tried to find out but they are closed on Fridays. Leaving messages seems to annoy her.Hummm! Will try again Monday. I want to copy all my ER paperwork. But no printer. Boy will try to buy me one. The last two were awful machines. A total waste of money.
Plus as I am on Medicare via Soc Sec, the yearly paperwork arrived and was totally confusing. In fact they hit me with two envelopes of paperwork.
I had to call and talk to a few people and one envelope was taken care of over the phone. The bigger envelope can't be finished until I have a copier. Once completed I can then mail it back to them.
I paid most of the damage control bills except for the Broken well pipes invoice - I haven't gotten a bill yet so will wait till March to do so.
W is doing better with her new stint they put in. Since she has had a heart attack before and got a stint put in then, she knew what was happening. They went to the same ER I went to and then sent her off to SA for the surgury. She is doing really well. She has been home so I haven't been able to do any laundry due to the ice storm and below freezing temps. Hopeful soon.
My laundry baskets are pretty full. 8-(
I was finally able to order from Krogers this morning. I needed alot and some bottled water - which K was out of. Luckily Boy is comng over for the trip to the tax office. But then we need to hit Walmart to fill all my empty bottles.
Plus I need to buy a pair of jeans and some boots. My boots over the last two years now have holes in them. They aren't good for anything but yard work. I also need a pair of shoes for going out that are other then tennies. Sheesh!!
Ok the latest - Boy & DDIL are to move into the trailer this year and will be moving it into its yard spot - also will have power connected to it at the same time. Plus will have WIFI connector added to the power pole. Then they will sell their house. BTY They have 4 small dogs. And DYGD does not want to live here.
This means that the two other grand kids will be visiting. eNough said!
I also have taken on the job of having my chain link by the road on the back side of the house run towards the corner of the back of the house. Not set up to that it was to have gone along the road as we planned but by actually joining up to the house corner.
OMG THE SUNS OUT! Will take Charlie out soon.
I also have other stuff I need to take on. The kids are to run the fence down from the back west corner of my house to the fence out back and behind the trailer so that Charlie has the larger protion of my yard. I can't bare to think on it. 8-(
Plus Boy and I are to fly to MN to hire a uhaul it grab my stuff then drive back here. As for the Tx storage J&W will help me next year by hiring a uhaulit at least once to get what I want. Then I may have to do two more trips for the rest. But the MN trip HAS TO BE DONE THIS YEAR. I am out of clothes and need all my medical paperwork thats store up there. SIGH! Plus my sewing machines and my hope chest, clothes, shoes, boots... blah, blah, blah.
Oh one more thing - I am having trouble with my DR.
And my med ins has sent me a catalog of items I can order free as they are allowing $75 a quarter for medical and other needs. I was just able to order more Lidocane patches for my neck and handwipes and extra strength aspirin.. which goes by another name. I have about 35$ to go this quarter and - amazingly I reced them two days later. WOW! Plus I can use it at my Drug Store's program I have joined and will order a scale for my bathroom. They also have a number of items I am running out of.
Plus the list of yard jobs is endless.
OK I'm done. I will copy this to my email so I can remember what needs to be done.
Sorry for going on and on and on. I really hope this is the end of my chaos. I really am tired of
it all.
