Happy Saturday!
Someone asked what the top 10 things I use eggs for are. I thought that I couldn't think of 10, because I'm not a huge egg eater, but then I realized that I cook with them, too. So, here's trying:
1- Fried eggs. I don't have bread right now to make fried egg sandwiches, so eat them with a side. If you eat them as sandwiches, you might like to try them with crisp bacon on the sandwich, and try with some yellow mustard if you like it, mayo if you prefer that.
2- Scrambled I 'spose. I like scrambled with cooked onions and greens. Try with diced ham, bell peppers, and onions for a Western scramble.
3- Fritatta, with add-in's. You can add the same as above with ham, peppers, and onions, only not scrambled. Make it in a pan, and serve in wedges, like pie cuts.
4- In Potato Salad.
5- To make pudding.
6- To make cake/cupcakes/muffins.
7- To make cookies.
8- In fried rice. I love fried rice, but the first time I made it with eggs, like the restaurants did, I completely blew it. I put the egg in on the vegetables. Then I learned that it is better to scramble it separately, breaking it up, *then* add it to the vegetables and finish the dish.
9- As part of the dredge for anything that I'm going to bread...chicken, fish, chicken fried steak, etc.
10- In homemade ice cream.
How about you?
