I would be. We don't have to worry about floods in our neighborhood, but the rivers around here flood almost every year. There is a stretch of road going to Owensboro from here looks like you are crossing a small ocean. They say that those floods are good for the fields as they provide nutrients for the soil. If it rains very hard, the bottom of our street floods and comes close to getting in the homes that are there. The Ohio River just recently flooded, and there were some very tricky areas. Now, with that said, we don't have what you have anymore. After the 1937, flood, most towns along the River built flood walls. that can be opened and closed if necessary.
