This afternoon Ihave an old packet for the Texas State University Forensic Anthropology Center I haven't filled out due to the neck problem I've had for the last two plus years.
I finally called them today and I have to say those people I have talked to three times now are as like minded as I am about how we want our bodies treated once we are dead.
I have an old packet of forms but they were out of date... which is why I requested a current packet of forms. I need to give them authorization to pick up my body before anything is done to it and they will take it to the Research center and I be laid to rest on the Earths surface.
No hole in the ground at all. They will track my bodies changes and eventurally I will be just bones and put on display in their museum. Scholars will be able to visit and study my bones and all my deformaties and diseases.
I asked the guy if I can still bring some of my daughters ashes and some of all my dog's ashes in a Jar with me. Boy will spread the rest in my back yard and I want some of DD's here as well. I checked with Timothy the Assoc Director and he will be bringing some of his dogs ashes to be put with his body also.
I had picked Anthropology in collage after I had my MS. I don't think that living here was an accident of Nature. Not with all the bones, and fossils I have inside and out. 8-)
I was told 3 years ago my body would be buried, which I did not want. Today I was told they no longer bury bodies - Hurrah! We get to lay on the ground until all that is left are our bones and hair. Which I believe continues to grow after death.
I will receive a new set of forms to fill out. They will come get me asap and take me back to the Anthropolgy Center where I will be laid to rest.
If I die at home I will be picked up by a funeral or mortuary service then picked up by the FARF.
And that's it. I'll be gone. I can't think of a better way to leave. There's more but these two things are the most exciting.
Boy bought me the entire first Star Trek DVDs. I have been watching this off and on for a few days. The first disk was a bit doppy but the second is slicked up and everyone feels at home in their roles. Loved Star Trek I was a big Treky fan. I don't have my te shirt though. 8-( Oh well.
So that's enough for today. I have to hit Amazon for a few items. Then I might rest a bit and watch some Star Trek.
Hope you have something fun to do or watch. Later gaters!
