Answer: Ray Kroc was an entrepreneur best known for expanding McDonald’s from a local chain into the most successful fast food operation in the world. In 1974, Kroc retired as CEO of McDonald's to get into baseball, his lifelong favorite sport. In 1974, Kroc purchased the San Diego Padres for $12 million. Frustrated with the performance of the team, Kroc said, "There's more future in hamburgers than baseball" and handed over operations of the team to his son-in-law. He owned the San Diego Padres from 1974 until his death in 1984.

"Take Me Out to the Ball Game" is a 1908 song by Jack Norworth and Albert Von Tilzer which has become the unofficial anthem of North American baseball, although neither of its authors had attended a game prior to writing the song. The song's chorus is traditionally sung as part of the seventh-inning stretch of a baseball game. Fans are generally encouraged to sing along, and at some ballparks, the words "home team" are replaced with the team name. The song was first played at a ballpark at a high school game in Los Angeles, California in 1934.
