No, she's not taking things well. She knows that we're trying to take her, which is making her understandably nervous. Under any other circumstances, I would not want to take her. She belongs with him.
But, aside from the living situation, her person is having not only mobility issues, but also cognitive. I don't know if they are typical for aging, but seem more like Alzheimer's, which his brother has, as well.
So, if ended up in a care facility at some point, even a couple of years or more from now, she would still need another home, and would probably end up in the pound. So, I keep reminding myself that this is for her good, if we can get her to adjust.
I always feel awful when a dog has to leave their people. :-(
