Answer: Svetlana Stalina was the only daughter and last surviving child of Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. As a child, she became a celebrity in her country, comparable to Shirley Temple in the United States. In 1967, she became an international sensation when she defected to the United States and changed her name to Lana Peters. Upon arriving in the United States, she burned her Soviet passport and denounced communism and her father, whom she called "a moral and spiritual monster." "You can’t regret your fate," Ms. Peters once said, "although I do regret that my mother didn’t marry a carpenter."

Judge Joseph Wapner was a retired Los Angeles County Superior Court judge, best known as the first presiding judge of the reality court show The People's Court. Judge Wapner presided over The People's Court for 12 seasons from 1981 to 1993. His tenure on the program made him the first jurist of arbitration-based reality court shows, which evolved into an entire genre of courtroom-based reality television. A 1989 Washington Post survey showed that 54% of Americans could identify Judge Wapner compared with only 9% who could name the chief justice of the United States, William H. Rehnquist.
