It turns out that she had a stroke during surgery. That's why she has the communication problem.
Second, on Saturday, Thyri seemed to be getting sick with something. By Sunday morning, she had spiked a 102 degree fever, and that was not at night. I will talk to them this morning and see how she's doing. Meanwhile, Ds was beginning to feel bad when we spoke.
I heard Thyri in the background and she was *miserable,* crying, fussing, etc. There was no consoling her at that time. She went to preschool on Thursday, so 2-3 days to catch something sounds about right.
It could be anything, but remember, Ds's boss, and his mother, are recovering from covid...the boss having gone down to U.C. Davis for 3 days of infusions. So, despite what the news might say, it's not gone. Neither is the flu, or several other bugs. Oh yes, and it's measles season. I'm so glad that I don't have small children in school anymore, but Ds was here for a few minutes dropping something off on his way home. Hopefully, he was not contagious at that time.
Momo, I asked him about the post, and he said that he picked some up a couple of days ago, and would bring it on Sunday, as he was to come over and put the fence back on my garden, etc. But, he didn't come over on Sunday, of course. So, I don't know what's there, but he does have mail/boxes for me.
Thank you in advance for any good thoughts and prayers.
