The ice cream man driving down the street. Still does sometimes!
Complete meals at dinner time...protein, carb, and vegetable. Example: chops, mashed potatoes, gravy, and peas. Of course!!
Freshly squeezed orange juice. Yes
Fancy grapefruit halves. No....but used to eat a lot of grapefruit until it wasn't safe with some medications.
Play clothes vs. school clothes. Absolutely!
Dog tack being leather. Nope
Tupperware. Yes!! Threw quite a few parties!
Colorful metal cups. Yes.
Flour Sifters. Oh, my yes!
Carpet Sweepers. Yes.
Wearing dresses to school. Yes.
Polishing your shoes. Yes!
Home perms. Oh! My mom was a pro!! I gave one to Kara when she was little and was going to be flower girl in a wedding. She kept yelling, "You're killing me!" LOL!
Curlers at night. Still do.
Making ice cream with a hand-turn ice cream maker. Yes! Peach especially also!
Escalators at department stores. Yes...they scared me as a kid! I envisioned being sucked into them!
Jelly containers that are drinking glasses afterwards. Yes! And we got them at the gas station!
Jars of honey with the comb inside. Yes.
Small ash collectors. (handle, button to push which opens it.) Like a silent butler? We still have one that we use with a broom ... but mostly I use a dust mop now.
Candy dishes on living room tables. Absolutely...at grams!
Stoves with griddles on the top. My current stove has a narrow one down the middle. I haven't used it and it's bumpy so I'm not sure I could do things like pancakes on it.
Lights overhead with pull chains to turn them on and off. Yes, and they are on my ceiling fans now.
Big black phones. On the wall or free standing. I'm not sure we had a wall phone that was black..but I do remember wall phones.
Cutting boards that pull out of the kitchen counter. I still have one!
Yellow Cabs. Yes.
'Newsies' that stand on the corners and run newspapers over to cars. No, I never lived right in a big city, so never even saw one I don't think!
