But yesterday I went to what I thought was Cards at the Civic Center. OMG it was a lunchen. And I they wouldn't let me leave. I had aready had breakfast so I had I got pinned between a couple of women from the Dominos group. It was a going away luncheon for one of the women who sold her house and is moving away to be near her grown up kids.
After lunch - there was a game of cards... not normal cards by any mean. I won 3 times after loosing alot the last few weeks.
Anyway... my friend who has adopted me bought out the left over from theluncheon and when I left I had all the leftover fruit and 1 pint of ice cream. I will get a tee shirt made with I DON"T EAT ICE CREAM! They keep slipping pints in with left over food. Sheesh!
Oh and the guy that has Parkinsons was at the luncheon and sat down a few seats - there were only 3 of us at the table - from me. He never talks to me just looks. I talked to the others at the table.. but he just watches me. SPOOKY!!! LOL! but a bit fun.
After playing dominos I had brought a small photo album with pics of BOR and all the critters. They had fun looking at then.
One of our card/domino group members had her DH died on Mothers day last year. She was very upset and we all supported her. This group all supports each other. I now get rides home even if I don't want one. They are so loving and the ages are 80's down to early 70'.
Oh and while we were playing domnos the woman who heads the projects sat at the table and enlisted some of us to come in Tuesday at 9am and wrap silver in napkins for another luncheon.
I wasn't going to do it as I have been away from Charlie more then I liked. I got trapped by her as she stared at me the whole time she was giving her request for help. Guess who caved and will be going to the CCtr to wrap silveware for a large luncheon - yep me. They all kinda gave me the look. Yikes - A female gang. RFLOL!
Oops the power just flickered. It rained over 3 inches last night. And will continue through the weekend and possibly into the week. At least the storm last night wasn't as bad here as the last 3 lightening storms had been. It was a relief but Charlie woke once in a while and I ended up awake from 1am and haven't slept since. It's 9am hopefully I can snooze this afternoon. More rain is due. 60% chance of severe thnderstorms. SA is getting blasted with serious rain and lightening strikes.
My left palm is itching hope that means money. ROFLOL! Yeah, right!
Well, I need to check my mail box as one of my bills wasn't picked up by the mailperson. I have to see if it got soaked and if it is will have to write a new check and put it in a plastic snack bag.
I just checked the weather for this coming week and it say 50% rain every day through Thursday. I won't be wacking the yard any time soon... as there won't be enough time for the grasses and weeds to dry out.
Well I gotta git. Chores to be done inside. 8-(
Have a great Mother's day.
