If you’ve ever visited Lancaster, Pennsylvania, you probably recall it as a pleasant mid-sized city in the heart of Amish country. What you might not know is that the city served as the capital of the United States for a single day. As British troops advanced on Philadelphia during the Revolutionary War, the Continental Congress was forced to flee the city. They packed their bags and headed sixty miles west to Lancaster. On September 27th, 1777, the Continental Congress met at Lancaster’s courthouse, and just like that, Lancaster became the nation's third capital. The next day, the delegates moved on to York, which served as the nation's capital for the next nine months.

Easter is the 2nd biggest candy eating occasion, 2nd to Halloween. Americans consumed 7 billion pounds in 2001.
What are your top 3 favorite Easter candies?
I like those large chocolate eggs with a fudgy filling. The are usually decorated nicely, and you slice them to eat them. They don't come from supermarkets. I don't know where they come from actually. The same places that sell really good handmade fudge?
The little blue or spotted malt eggs. They are really cute, and I like malt, so...!
And, since I don't know much about Easter candy, I'd say Peeps, because I like marshmallows.
I had Cadbury eggs a couple of times...the type with the 'yolks' in the center.
