My computer, by the way, is definitely having issues. I just rebooted again, and hope that will help.
I'm all alone because Ds came over earlier to move some totes with us, after a flag ceremony with the family. When he got here, he discovered that the padlock on the shop (down the access road.) had been cut with bolt cutters. It was a better lock, but bolt cutters...'nuff said.
We are getting to know the 2 police officers that came out to look - this is the 3rd time they have been here. *sigh*
But, check this out, Dh and the officers walked down the access road to look at the shop, and suddenly they were on top of a guy, pretty much, lying in some grass. Not one of the 3 saw him. Yikes!!!
He wasn't one of the other guys, and the police threatened him with arrest if he came back...because it was just a trespass, they have to give a warning first.
Meanwhile, there were a couple of identifying photos on the game cam which showed a couple of guys in and out of the shop carrying things. Mostly, they were hidden by large jackets with hoods.
When we gave the footage to the older policeman, he said that he recognized someone immediately.
Then, Ds found a cheap, pre-pay smart phone which he gave to them as well. There are contacts in it. That might not be so good for the ring of thieves...I hope not anyway.
Finally, the guys were putting equipment back in the shop and securing it for the night when I got a call from the policeman. He had some of 'our stuff' and wanted Dh to go and identify it.
How did that happen?
In any case, Ds hadn't left yet, so he drove him to town to do that, and here I am.
Very much like last week we've not eaten yet. At least the dogs have.
I am not upset like I was the last time, as I'm not late for my medication. Although, I'm a wee bit nervous to be here alone in the middle of the night when people were just skulking around a few hours ago. At least I have the dogs, but still...
So, when I hear what was found, and why it had to be identified tonight (they are holding someone?) I will let you know. I don't remember ever saying that my life was too boring and I needed more excitement in it. In fact, I distinctly recall saying that boring was fine by me!
I hope that everyone had a relaxing Memorial Day.
