I had another disrupted week, and feel exhausted. I think it's affecting my FM, and other issues.
I did have the best blueberries that I've ever had this week. They were amazing. I don't eat them as much as I used to, because of price increases the past couple of years, but these were large, ripe, sweet, and had lots of blueberry flavor to them.
Meanwhile, the tangerines are not as good now as they were, but they are months out of their season. So, I don't expect them to be for sale for much longer.
We have a couple of chicken names. Thyri named one of the brown leghorns Meepo (I don't know how it's spelled, but it's a character that she knows.), and I believe that I mentioned this before, I named the Salmon Faverolle Anabel. 2 named, and 1 to go!
We saw the Siamese down at the old house this week. He's a real mystery.
I got back my radio. It's an older radio, kind of long, and maroon. A.M./F.M. and the center has a cassette player. On the game cam footage, I saw one person with it, and was really unhappy. It was in the shop...maybe Ds was listening to it while working. Anyway, I guess that we mentioned it specifically, and that night that the guys went to town, this happened:
The town's P.D. saw a guy with a backpack, and it had a single hole in it. Partly sticking out of that hole was a maroon radio/cassette player. The officer said that it was like the radio was saying, "I want to go home, help!" The guy, of course, couldn't remember it's details, so I got it back. I'm so happy about that! What were the chances?
I'm sorry not to have sent the update yet, but my computer problems are getting worse. Tonight I had to shut down illegally, then spent over an hour backing everything up again, and the day before some of my mail was unable to be opened because of the blue screen-ish error. I hope that it holds on until my other one shows up...wish me luck with that!
After having said that I hadn't seen any fawns yet this year, I saw one the very next day, crossing the road from the old house to the shop. He/she was quite small.
Dh saw a tarantula today. That's a pretty rare find. Even in S. California we didn't see them often.
Hira has a new trick. When she and Krypto are wrestling, and she can't get the upperhand, due to her size, she waits for him to lie down and play from a lazy position, then sits on him! She then looks very satisfied with herself. We've not been able to get a photo due to lighting, so far.
The earwigs, who try to take over the earth one month each year, didn't this year. Well, they've decided to make up for that time, and do it now. I am not an earwig fan! I don't do anything, during earwig 'season,' without knocking or shaking things out well.
I remembered to get sugar for the hummingbirds this week, and got myself a bag, as well. With the chickens laying so well right now, I want to make an egg forward dessert. Maybe for Ds's birthday. Then, later in the month, Father's Day.
Well, that's all for this neck of the woods. How was your week?
