Poor Mike, I already have tons of corrigated boxes in DDs room that need to go out. I have one of those big trash boxes that I fill it up to the top with cut and folded boxes and it takes him a few weeks to drop it off at the company that takes it to pulverise and re use.
Unfortunately all the other box types are just trashed. OUCH!. Though I do bag h2o bottles sans the caps and crunched for ease in recycling.
Plus I have quart plastic bottles all sparkling water bottles bagged, plus soda cans. And anything else that can be recycled. I have two trash cans. One is for my house trash & A's when he is here. I have to teach him to recycle. 8-( I don't want to do it for him.
I have a system all ready for him. LOL Beer cans one bag, beer bottles 2nd bag/box. Etc. LOLOL! That helps fill my trash cans up so that is good for all of us.
These burn piles are from long ago and probably just added to even before I moved here. They are huge and have tons of glass, nails, metal, etc.
Plus I want to call and talk to the road people who never fix my driveway. Just everyone else's. ARRGH. So when it rains hard it flows down the street and spreads trash, glass, etc into my driveway and now into my back yard on the other side of the house. Thus the water runs twice into my yard. I am so annoyed. On Friday I will ask who I should call to have the road that runs into my driveway fixed. Charlie had top of one of his paw pads sliced off. ARRRGH! Luckily I could take care of it as it wasn't deep.
Anyway, news on the green cloth covering for the fence that runs along the eastern side of my yard.
The package arrived. Very heavy. So I was determined to NOT let Boy cut down things that didn't need to be cut down.
It took me three days in addition to mowing the yard.. 3/4ths of it anyway. But now I have a huge pile of limbs, bushes, etc, etc in a huge pile. Boy needs to bring a chain saw to cut out or off or down limbs I couldn't cut with my heavy duty clippers. They are pretty strong but I can't do anything over an inch+ depending on the type of wood involved. Talk about exhausted.
I want to finally dust and vacuum with the new vaccum cleaner. Between the wind, the rain i.e. muddy driveway/yard the house is a mess. And has been since 2 years ago when I stopped being able to bend my neck or get down on my knees to clean under beds, bureaus, etc., etc., etc. 8-(
We are now having hot days in the 90s and 100's . Luckily the mornings are cloudy so humid but not unbearable. Then the sun comes out in the afternoon and we all cook.
Luckily I have learned the trick to keeping my house cool enough to live with. The bathroom and kitchen windows are open 2 inches.
The ceiling fan in my bedroom is on, I have a small fan atop my book case/tv which rotates and helps cool as well and the ceiling fan. Plus I have an AC in my bedrrom window.
I also have a fan on my dining room counter and a small fan on the kitchen bar. They also help circulate air from the window.
The living room also has a ceiling fan and an AC /fan that works well also.
A box fan in is DD's bedroom doorway as there is am AC in that window. The box blows cool air towards the living room. So far so good with my "system" ?
We are to have 100's every day this coming week. But considering where I live it's not as bad as where the kids live in SA.
Fingers crossed... oh the cats sleep in DDs room and Charlie and I sleep in my room. When ever we sleep. 8-)
I think that is everything new from here. No dominos today thay are having a luncheon instead. I have the last huge pile of limbs, branches etc to be moved to the original tree pile over by the critter cemetary. The pile has grown smaller until recently as I am adding tons of new cut stuff.
I can't wait to get my fence up to provide privacy for Charlie and me. Plus Boy will add more chainlink to the area missing where a car took out the fence before I moved in. Instead of running the new chainlink along the road it will curve intowards the the spot where the original Chainlink was taken out.
Oh and Boy & Jules will not be living here... Thank goodness!!! ... when they are in the Phillipines. Their trailer will be spending time at the home of my eldest neice with a fence up around it and the dogs in the trailer for the 6 months they are in the phillipines and for the month of Nov to Jan 1. If they want to live here they have to build a house with ktchen bath, etc, etc. "Nough said!!!
So that's the latest on my homefront. I am working like a slave. ROFLOL!
Thankfully I have lots of real good lidocaine 5% patches to keep the pain at a reasonable level.
Though it doesn't always work 100%. OUCH!
I have been working all morning snce 5am. It's 10am now and it's timet walk Charlie.
Have a good day, may your weather be perfect. It will probablly be better then mine. 8-)
