So even with 5% lanicanie (spelling) patch takes time to work. I have taken to reading until I can finaly sleep.
So I received the first 4 Anne Perry books from Thriftbooks yesterday. I ordered 7 as I had one of main book I bought from that store that sells used clothing etc, etc and has a nice used book library. No car and no Boy taking me shopping anymore.
Here is the list and not in reading order
1 Treachery at Lancaster Gate - my original book
1 Bluegate Fields
2 Paragon Walk
3 Resurrection Row
4 Rutland Place
I have these due to arrive today or tomorrow but a few were not available. Not sure which ones until I get the rest. Then I can go back and order the missing ones.
Farriers' Lane
Belgrave Square
Highgate Rise
Silence in Hanover Close
Callander Square
The Cater Street Hangman
I also have been re-reading y Jospehne Tey books. I only have three currently.
Singing Sands,
A Shilling for Candles
and The Daughter of Time. A favorite of many readers - especially mine - as it is all about Richard the Third.
Inspector AlN Grnt of Scotland Yard is in hospital with a broken leg - his friends and strangers bring him all the info on Richard the III they can find to give the Inspector somethng ot do as his leg heals.
I love this book but I am a believer that Richard the III was not a monster. I still have the article about when his body was discovered under a parking lot.
In fact a second King has just been discovered buried under a second parking lot. I love English History! 8-) Not sure of his name. Edward, John? Who knows. 8-)
So I have very cheap, but in good condition paperbacks, to keep me happy for a while.
