I saw the coolest thing on Ask This Old House. They were showing a homeowner some solutions for making space in their cabinets, including under the sink, plus making things more organized.
First were 2 'baskets' (metal, coated with rubbery stuff, maybe?) that pulled out from under the sink on rails. (They showed how to do it. Either one of us could do it.)
Then, they had something similar for 2 kitchen trash cans. They fit into something so that it slid into a cabinet area at floor level. They could be trash, or for recycling, like cans and such.
But the coolest one was that metal, coated, basket material. It is 1/2 moon shaped. You put it into lower cabinets where you might store pots. You put your pots in it (there's a place for lids, too.) then, it doesn't just pull out, but pulls out and kind of turns, so that you have the pots in the open without trying to lean down and in the cabinet to get them. Very cool!
It sounds like you got a lot done again! Wow, you're doing great!
How wonderful that you get to do the extra laundry while keeping track of their cats and dripping water! That sounds like a fair trade to me!
