I liked it but much prefer Whole grain like they are producing now. In MN I did find a bakery that made pretty good bread... but I loved Rye and there was also a Rustic type. My faves.
Oh side story - when I graduated my mother bought me a Hawaiian dress to wear at graduation. I hated it. She bought all my clothes until I graduated so I stuck out like a sore thumb. Luckily I was able to roll the waists up to make the skirts shorter. I hate high school - loved learning but students not so much! I was odd girl out! every year.
Thank goodness I went to collage and bought my own clothes as I was working part time. So no more
clothes from my mother. Plus I moved out when I began working for Wells Fargo bank. Finally - Freedom!
Thankfully I got hooked on a bakery that was 2 doors down from the bank. I loved Ham & Swiss on various breads, plus I bought fresh made donuts or pie slices, etc. Plus the baker ended up opening his own bakery and made the BEST strawberry Shortcake Flat Cake I have ever had. He also was a genius with anything he touched.
I had a car and would drive to but foods from him. The only other place I bought food was the Italian Deli - Now they were a family and that was the best Italian food ever.
Oh I really want to go to the Italian Deli in SA. Oh well, maybe sometime. 8-)
