Yes, it will go bad. Maybe you can get one of those small pitchers, and make just enough for a couple of days?
I have a pitcher, which is adorable, that I got on eBay maybe 20 years ago. It's glass, and has pictures of tomatoes on it. It's quite small. Another one is larger, and has a fruit motif on it.
Off the subject, but we have a pitcher that is very old and pretty. It's not glass, it's hand painted porcelain. A neighbor of Dh's, when he was growing up, had a mother who called this her lemonade pitcher. Over the years, someone got a crack in it, but before her son passed away, in the 80's, he gave Dh the lemonade pitcher, like his mother always said that she would.
We were just talking about the crack in it this past week. We want to seal the crack, maybe from the inside, and use it, not for drinks, but for a vase for flowers or bunches of herbs - whatever we pick on a given day. It's still quite beautiful. The only thing is...I need a counter to set it on!
The shaved ice is perfect in this weather!
It really is amazing to think that 6 people did that job!
