I use one can a day feeding 1/2 am then pm. But I put in the fridge between feedings, which may be pm to am.
Since a lot of the lids are pull off I found that the tops from my tuna cans - using the can opener that un-glues the lids, not one that cuts them off.
This way I clean the tuna lids and keep them in the dish rack in the utensil holder along with 3 spoons specially used for dog and cat food.
The tuna lids are perfect fits for the wet cat
food cans. I also feed Charlie wet food but just at night. I stack the cat food can on top of the large dog food can in the fridge. The dog food last me 4 days at least.
As for the dry food. I use to drink orange juice and since I re-purpose I cleaned them out and made sure they were completely dry before storing the dry cat food in them. I use 3 jugs for 1 five pound bag of TOTW dry food.
I am space critical. But there is a wall of shelves in the pantry. That is where I keep the dog and bird food along with many of my stuff.
I have a bookcase and one shelf hold 6 jugs of dry cat... plus room, if I have an extra 5 # bag or two, of dry cat. Also a parrot seed jug for a 2 lbs bag of dry cat just in case I am late ordering from Chewy or run out. Also there are small jugs of cat treats and one of catnip.
The shelf below hold a box of the large pedigree wet chunk dog food cans. I usually keep 12 on hand, replacing what I used only.
A dozen of the same large parrot seed jugs (Chances seed) hold a 14# bag of TOTW dog food, Along with 2 of the 5# bags worth of dry dog food.
All Charlies treat are in other jugs on the same shelf as the dog food.
At that point I am out of storage in the pantry.
The rest of the room is packed but with enough space to walk to the freezer. 8-)
