Me, too. No matter how often we go by or to the buffalo ranch, I can't help but watch the buffalo.
Here, part of the ranch runs along the highway, but part goes back into a lot of acreage up in the hills, where you can't see them if that's where they happen to be. But, there are usually a few where you can see them, even if most of the herd are in the hills.
I don't know if this is a state or federal rule/law, but one of them requires certain fencing. I guess they know that, if a buffalo wants out...! It may depend on if it's level with other property or roads, etc. I don't remember anymore, and it may have changed in 30 years.
