The Summer Tanagers are still here... heard and saw them. So know most of my birds are hiding. Summer Tanagers chase other birds off while eggs are nursing.
I saw the bright orange Male when walking Charlie before breakfast. Lovely song and pretty. It is possible a small Male baby was with him. Learning from dad possibly.
I followed his singing hoping to locate the nest. But didnt. Instead found a number of my Carolyn Wrens. They use to live in my cedars... now are relocated to my uphill neighbors yard.
Birds are fascinating. I dont think the painted bunting's mate is around.
Oh well. I have more than my share of birds.
