When Beyorne, the most patient dog in the universe, began having leg issues, he began giving the pup heck. I don't know if he was knocking into Beyorne's legs/hips, or if he was just developing pain that he wasn't showing, etc. but it definitely happened within' a few weeks.
Perhaps Misty didn't have the patience with Arwen when she was coming on to this new level of leg/hip problems, or Arwen had been accidentally bumping into her?
In any case, I hope that the medication helps her in the long term.
I'm there now. Tango get CBD oil, and supplements. It helps him a lot, though some days just aren't as good as others. I've found myself adjusting the drops accordingly. (He takes a very low dose to start with, giving me wiggle room on bad days.)
I'm not even sure what makes some days worse for him. Then again, I have better and worse days, so....
I've suspected that it's a combination of things. How they lay when they sleep, weather, and hurting themselves accidentally. For example, Tango stumbled the other day outside during his last constitutional of the night, and it tweaked his legs, back, and neck, it looked like. As expected, the following 2 days weren't as good as his days had been.
I don't know a lot about Rimadyl, but can the dosage change if Misty has a worse day?
I would probably ask the vet that, and also see if it's okay to give/continue with supplements with it.
Well, I'm sorry to hear that she's having this problem. My prayers are for her to continue to improve on the medication, and for it to continue helping in the long term. And, for you and the vet to figure out just the right combination of things to help her with this problem.
