I scoop up all the seed spilled on the ground and toss it our front for the wrens, Sparrows and the baby doves.
Chances leftovers go to the big birds out back.
along with the black sun flower seeds.
I think I can make a wire cage the doves can't get through.
Plus I want to do corn cobs for the squirrels. But not sure how to feed them with out the doves stealing their food. At least the doves don't like the peanuts.
These are challenges I will work on over the winter. Lots to do, lots to do. LOL
The rodents... haven't a clue and won't use poison etc. Reading MEN....as soon as it arrives. Along with going to the site on line.
Answer will come... the neighborhood cat hasn't been around lately - large yellow tom that lives across the street. I saw him here and C chased him under our house. But that was in the spring.
The neighbors cat has been over only a few times that I know of. I won't let mine out even though they know mice are under the kitchen.
It sounds like your chicken and rodent problem are pretty close to being the same. Candle lit for us both.
