But I have lots of bottled water both from the store and from the well. The kids and I drink bottled water. During the summer I just almost all I have on hand as I don't have the room until the GK's stuff is out and the trunk blocking my storage cabinet is moved. Right now I have water stacked in the kitchen and the laundry room.
If I need to the kids and I will use both as needed. I save well water to use to wash dishes, clothes by hand, or flush toilets as needed. Which would be if the electricity goes out, i.e. an emergency of some kind.
Once I have more room I will up my h2o by keeping a dozen 24 packs here. Hopefully, it will be in large bottles if I go to a Delivery service next year. There are a few of us that drink only bottled water in the neighborhood. But it this is on my list to do. Sigh!
Another problem that showed it's self last year the hurricane and the flooding of Houston... our local store and the stores in SA were emptied of water to be sent to H. That's why I want equal to a dozen 24 packs in the house.
Living in CA taught me emergency prep. Living in MN refined my list. Living here refined my list even more.
Add to that my Red Cross background...I'm a Safety fanatic. Which reminds me I need to buy another fire extinguisher and refill the one I have. I have a small one just for bedroom. Large one for kitchen/living room. Now that there is an AC in the guest room and two small heaters there and in library... the 2nd big one. I have no gas of any kind - everything is electric. Well I do have a small BBQ and gas for my lawn mower. Oh, sorry off on a tangent again.
