I know that some of you dremel your dogs' nails, or maybe have a groomer or vet do them. But, do you also have a dog nail clipper?
That came up today when Frankie split/broke one of his dew claws down into the flesh at one side.
Luckily, because Ds realized that they didn't have a dog nail clipper, he was able to bring Frankie here. He held him right at the truck, and Dh cut the nail down in increments. With Ds holding him still, he was able to cut down and avoid the flesh.
Because it had already been bleeding, the quick had receded a bit, so it didn't bleed as much when clipped as it had when first broken, though we do keep a container of NikStop, had it really bled.
I have more than one clipper for smaller dogs, so we are going to just give Ds one of them in the next couple of days, to have at his house.
But, it did make me wonder if others who dremeled still had dog nail clippers?
The upside for Frankie, was that he got to run around my place while the guys talked and got some ice packs out for ddil, then he got to go up the hill and explore with them, and finally, he got to go with Ds to town to the gas station, market, then his other grandparents' house. Not bad for a day that didn't start well for him.
How about there?
