I use about 20 drops to a cup or 2 of liquid, but you can make it stronger if the cats become hard headed. And, since you probably won't use that much liquid you can either use less oil, or leave it, making it stronger.
All types of lavender are different, some has a lighter scent, some is more floral, etc., so let your nose be your guide as to whether or not the strength is good.
I used to buy mine locally, but they carry less than they once did. So, if I can't find what I need here, I next go to Mountain Rose online, then after that, to Ananda Apothecary.
But, when I want Now products, I get them at Amazon, if I can't find them locally.
The prices vary on Amazon, so you'll want to bring up several of the same type and brand there, and compare.
There are lemon essential oils. I use them for some things.
The only thing to avoid, is using some citrus if you will use them on your skin, if you be out in the sun. I keep it out of Ds's mix, because he mostly works outside, and citrus and sun don't mix, the same way that some antibiotics can make you photosensitive. But for cleaning; absolutely. It smells so refreshing and, well, clean.
Most lemon-scented products aren't from real lemons, or only partially. My mom used to get really sick from those, yet real lemons didn't give her any problems at all. Oh, and if it says 'all natural' it can be, and still not be lemon. It can be lemon grass, or something else of that nature.
I love orange EO, especially what is referred to as sweet orange. As opposed to bitter orange, I guess. I find it to be a mood elevator. So, when you are trying to start your day, but not really succeeding, you can try some. I mix it with a carrier oil in a small bottle, and put it on pulse points, just like perfume. I don't mix any other scent with it for that, just the orange oil.
The baking soda is for the litter boxes. Therefore, I'd check that it doesn't say 'not for human consumption' on the package. I found a bucket for sale of it once that said that. I am not sure what the difference is, but I didn't buy it. If it does say that, maybe it can be used for cleaning and sweetening drains only, rather than for the cats?
I use quite a bit of baking soda for cleaning alone.
Not a problem, I hope that you get a bit more rain this time! :-)
