I've had so few cats with hairball issues in recent years, that I'd almost forgotten about it.
Then again, Nefertiti is the only cat that I've had, in decades, that doesn't want my offerings of extra items in her diet. She doesn't even want the wet food all the time. She is a dry kibble kind of girl, I guess.
I'm working on that, now that she's my best buddy, and sticks to me much of the time. In the meantime, I'm hoping that these hairball treats do their job. They have ingredients in them like apple fiber, papaya extract, psyllium seed, marshmallow root and slippery elm. It will be interesting to see if I can recommend them as a natural alternative.
I feel fortunate that Nefertiti hasn't lost weight. She's a rather cobby kitty, and is quite heavy, without being overweight. Luckily, since she eats mostly dry food by choice, it's keeping the weight on her. So yes, them being at a good weight is important.
I'm glad that carrying Mussy to her litter box has been mostly working. Us putting Nefertiti down the hall has been, also. Yeah kittys! Yeah, us! ;-)
That's great about the lavender! Yes, it does smell good!
I really love my alternatives, made from essential oils. I'm glad that you were reminded of them, and are thinking about it again. As you know, one of the things that I'm looking the most forward to, besides food, is growing my herb garden and containers again.
It's such a relief that your house is all yours again. :-)
Love All Life, Thank You For Posting! :)
