Kitty has taken to hiding in the armoires. The bottom drawers have an open space - 3 inches - at the back of each drawer. This allows her and/or Mussy make their way into the drawers themselves. The result has been holes chewed in my knee high deer skin Mocs that are 30 years old. My son gifted me with them. Its 3 holes that I might be able to fix. In the mean time I have removed all my shoes of any kind and put them elsewhere.
That leaves Soli,my eldest and only male. He's neutered but apparently not well enough as he is spraying inside the cat box. Which is a large plastic storage box thankfully. For the sides are high enough to prevent his spray to get on the laundry room walls.
Still, the smell is very rank. Luckily I keep a can of glade spray next to the box. I just wish he'd spray during the day and not when I'm asleep in bed. The stench is strong enough to wake me. Usually between 2 to 4 am.
I have to admit Chance is doing really well except when he & Charlie double team me when I'm late getting Chances breakfast and Charlie his after breakfast Kong peanut butter treat. Once they get those Charlie and Chance sound out in barking/yelling unison to inform me I am late cutting up the apple or carrot I give half to each of them. Both are so loud the neighbors can hear them in their house.
Not only that... but after Charlie gets his fruit he follows me around and gives me a bark every 5 minutes. i've timed him. He is reminding me that he needs his dental chew to keep his teeth free of peanut butter.
My animals can all tell time. They pay no attention to day light savings. Which is why I am usually wide awake by 5am after stumbling around in the kitchen feeding them.
None forget any meal times.
And I need to add the wild birds to my list.
After the fruit treats in the am Charlie & I walk 1/2 hr... there is always at least 1 dove or even up to 3 or more doves sitting on the power line that crosses over my driveway. They show up when we are heading inside.
For they can tell time or count laps as that is when I feed the squirrel, sitting up in an oak chattering at me and all the rest of the doves are waiting for their breakfast in the oaks out back. Its the swallows that make the most noise as I toss their seeds out when I walk Charlie.
Lol I have a noisy house and a noisy yard.
It's awesome. Lol noisy but awesome!
