It's The Little Things That Make Life Such A Big Deal!
Keanzi is still a bit young, so her teeth are in good shape.
She rarely eats soft food as that causes more teeth problems than hard food. I do mix her food with water for the extra moisture, but she eats it before the food can soften. I also buy her some treats to help with tartar removal, and they seem to be doing the job. I get them from Chewy - DentaLife by Purina. I got the smaller size of the same kind for Sophie. I don't brush her teeth as she chews on the brush, and I don't accomplish much.
The cats get dry food with a little canned am and pm. I am trying to keep them hydrated to prevent kidney issues. It is working so far. I have dental treats for them, but Thomas has developed a very sensitive stomach, so I have to feed him sensitive food. He can eat a few treats once a week, but more often sets his stomach off. I have not tried to brush their teeth. It is a battle.
