Yes, other good movies to compare with.
We've never had mailboxes here. They were out at the hwy when we first moved here, on 101. But, it was way too dangerous, so most people didn't use them, then the post office shut them down. It wasn't safe for them to put mail in them, either.
I don't like being treated like that. I spoke to a woman who makes appts. at Dh's Drs. office, and we were trying to work out non-appt. appts...computer maybe next month, and phone today, as the Dr. will be gone all month, after today.
So, I asked about the system/program that they use for the computer appts., and if her voice could do something physical, then her tone was patting me on my head and treating me as though I was mentally feeble. Grrrr. So yes, I can imagine how you felt, because your experience was more extreme, and personal, than mine, and I was seeing red by the time I hung up.
