I have upped Tango's CBD oil a little, and that made a big difference. Not only with his joints, but it seems as though with his breathing, too. I never realized that it was a factor in helping it before, but I'm not going to question it.
He's been enjoying our increase in citrus as he joins us 99% of the time.
He is having nerve problems with his hind legs now, and I am hoping that he just did something temporary, like lay wrong, took a misstep, etc. I am hoping that the extra CBD oil will help that a little, too.
Tilde has been playing more, perhaps because the really cold weather stopped. Well, until the past couple of days. It's really hot; triple digits. At least she's not got black fur, which may help her to not suffer the heat as much.
Sluggo had a good birthday, and is officially 19 now. She got treats, and lots of attention!
The FF cats are doing well. Uhura does not love the attention that she gets from the boys, but she's learning to cautiously ignore them.
Now, after all this time, that she's letting Dh pick her up and carry her from point A to point B, I've got a new plan that we started putting into action starting last night.
I suggested that he walk into the house with her, pet her, etc. Then, before she got upset, put her back out again. He did, she and I said hi, then he put her back out.
My thought is, if she doesn't have a negative experience coming in, then she won't mind. I want to reinforce it with feeding her in here.
She used to hang out with Ds inside, at least part of the time. She even slept under the covers...she's a burrower. So, knowing that, I'm taking advantage of her change of heart when it comes to accepting us.
Mamou is still happily king of his realm, as always.
The Himalayan does not eat cat food, of any kind, in any way, shape, or form. He must have been fed homemade food, or something. But, he's hunting, I assume, and is not thin. It's difficult to bribe a cat who does not eat your food.
When we next have buffalo, we'll try offering him a bit, and see how he reacts. Meanwhile, he looks like he wants contact, and will sit 10' away when he shows up...which is not all the time. We'll see how that goes.
Tux has become a family favorite. Dh thinks that it's sad how he tries to be with the others, but they pretty much ignore him. I'm hoping that will be our opportunity to bring him farther into the human fold, though I do wish that the others would give their tagalong a little (positive) attention.
Mamou has a habit of walking along with Dh when he goes around the house or across the road. He likes to walk ahead of him, if he knows where he's going, and walks from side to side, making it difficult to pass him by. I *told* you that he was king of his realm!
Now, Tux joins them, but he walks next to Dh. He's doing so well!
He's now allowing himself to be pet most of the time, when he eats, and rarely leaves somewhere because we walk by.
The Kitty Kampers are well.
And, the hens are, too. Their egg production took a small hit when they started a late molt, but it's improving again. Soon, I will be able to supplement the kids' egg buying.
Have a pleasant day!
