Misty was a little more adventurous. She'd wander, sniff other dogs, etc. She made no attempt to play w/ other dogs and actually, didn't seem to be enjoying herself.
Both dogs would approach other owners for loving. BUT, being shelties, they always knew where Mom/safe base was.
We (Samantha and Brownie were still living up here) left when Brownie became territorial over the kiddie pool they had set up. Other dogs were splashing through it and drinking from it. Misty and Josiah had slurped from it. Brownie didn't want anything to do with being in the pool, but he also considered it his. When he started getting snappy, we left.
Because of my transportation issue and then the pandemic, Arwen isn't as well dog socialized as she should be. She gets a bit passive agressive reactive w/ other dogs.
So, long answer summed up.... No, I would not take Misty or Arwen to a dog park and let them off leash. Misty also has that ACL tear, so I limit her. Plus she was miserable the time I did take her. Arwen... Well, she'd make me the owner that the other owners would all talk about how her dog was out control...
SOOOO, Tilda or Frankie... Who made you think of the question?
