I wonder if, with transportation, and maybe without Brownie, yours would have enjoyed it more with repeated exposures. Not that they needed it, but I'm just curious, since it was their first time there.
I know all about Mom/home base! What a great way to put it!
Not a good thought, being *that* mom.
Actually, neither, though that's a good guess! Tilde likes to go with people, and she was found, so I'd worry about her getting out. Maybe to go with someone. (We had her getting into work trucks here, when work was being done!!)
I don't know about Frankie. That's actually a good thought. We have a dog park in town, but with corona it could be a while. He doesn't seem thrilled with other dogs, if mine are a good example. He sniffs at Tilde, and used to ignore Tango, or jump over him. Goodness forbid they touch. *rolling eyes*
Actually, I have been wondering about a SD. I know that nothing will happen right away, but I've been talking to SD owners that I know who have breeds on my short list, and it came up again about the difficulty for those who got pups to train at the end of last year/beginning of this year.
SD users, as well as other people with young dogs, are not able to correctly socialize their dogs right now.
I used to take mine, all the way back to Zack, into multiple stores, vets offices, to the summer fair grounds, etc. etc.
You can do those things a little bit still (sans the fairs.), but what stores that are open don't have the people in them to work around, teach them how to ignore or accept attention, etc. Same thing at the vet's offices. Except for the vet him/herself, they don't see anyone much, and don't interact with those who are there, say at the counter.
It's a pickle. And, a lot of people are raising dogs only 1/2 finished because of the logistics. I hate to be raising a show dog right now.
Love All Life, Thank You For Posting! :)
