It's The Little Things That Make Life Such A Big Deal!
I cannot recommend any heartworm treatment other than
ProHeart right now. My friend's dog had three rounds of heartworm before they switched to ProHeart. Two of the times were with Heartgard, but the last time was with Interceptor. All of the oral medications are seeing some resistance. ProHeart is an injectable, and I am not sure why the needle is bigger. Kenzi just whined a little, but that was her only reaction. At this p[oint, I don't trust any of the oral medications. At one time. efficacy studies showed that Heartgard was the best for heartworm preventive, and that is why I was adamant about using only Heartgard. My dd is going to check with her vet when she takes her dog in for his yearly.
