Have you ever bought the wrong pet food...flavor or brand...or had your pet decide that they no longer care for what you buy, or perhaps had a pet no longer be able to eat what you usually buy for them?
When any of that happens, what do you do with the food, if anything? (If you bought the wrong flavor by accident, for example, or if it was all that they had at the store, maybe they ate it just fine.)
Which then begs the next question...is your dog or cat choosey when it comes to flavors? How about brand?
What flavor/s do they like best?
I've had mine more, or less, lukewarm on some dog foods/flavors. But, they really seem to enjoy what they are getting now, which is:
The cats get dry food, but they also get wet food treats once a day. This started with Sluggo, and we still have a good amount of wet food left. We used it to bribe Uhura, after Ds got married, and the others like a little each day, too.
There are various flavors, including poultry, and fish. Example...chicken, turkey, trout, and salmon.
Tilde's food has mixed proteins in it, as she isn't sensitive to them. The first ingredient is buffalo, but there's also venison, etc.
I did end up with a canned food that wasn't Sluggo's favorite, then it began to make her sick. But, I still have enough cats around that there's always someone happy to have it.
The last time that I had a dry dog food that everyone got tired of, for some reason, they stopped eating with gusto, but did finish the bag before I changed. That was a while ago.
Local shelters don't take opened bags anymore, and, in fact, they don't want random sealed bags anymore, either. The last that I heard, they want a specific food, so you'd have to donate money to feed the animals there. We used to be able to take in bags or cans of food, though.
How about there?
