But then I peel along my property line and the chicken pens... She would cross the pasture even when I was there with Blue - look at me and keep going. I never lost another critter after that. I think female pee works best. You might want to give it a try. One of the Elder ladies taught me that trick.
Talk about stealthy but smart critters.
I am so glad you are happy with your living arrangements. I moved into an empty house here as the kids dumped all the things I had bought - in the living room. They figured I would want to arrange. That was when I was ill before the operation... and deeply depressed and overwhelmed.
I finally got on my feet in mid 2018.
Anyway... no rugs, ice snow etc. LOL No insulation of any kind. LOL Burr!
I am so glad you have DH & DS even though it is part time and DH is working at half strength. Just take it a step at a time... in face have you made a list of priorities yet? Boy that list saved what was left of my mental capacities.
My coop was a large dog house on 4 foot legs under a huge live Oak tree.. they slept in it all the time. Never had a hawk so never worried about them. It was out in the open of a huge pasture the house was up a small hill. It worked.
Oh Mantis are so cool. Look them up. In most cultures they are the symbol of stillness. The benefits of meditation and calming of the mind.
Be still, go within, and get quiet and reach a place of calm.
Sounds good to me.. LOL Instead I have Chameleons
and boy do they fit me. Stability, insight, patience, determination, perception, curiosity, fearlessness and resourcefulness. I need a poster of a image of one. They are in my home all the time. Oh my goodness the cats killed one and it was under the carpet by the front door. I just found it and it is dry and flat as a sheet of paper. I put it in a jar.
Ok that's eerie!!!Way to go Tilda! Yeah - Charlie feels the same way. Sheesh! oogs! lOL
The cats - when I hd BOR had the run of the place... though I had a few leave - get lost eaten... they stuck near the house not the barn or the coop. Though the big shed with space for cars and tractor and hay was the place they loved most.
Did you look up the wasp? There is a type that is very bad and living in NCal is too close for comfort as far as I am concerned re the killer wasp.
Sorry took so long to repost. Oh well. Better late then never. 8-)
Love All Life, Thank You For Posting! :)
